Our programmes are first and foremost fun, interactive and informative. They are a great way of inspiring students and encouraging them to look at a wider set of career options whilst giving them fresh drive, enthusiasm and motivation.
Typically run on school premises, programmes are normally one or two days in length with workshops running concurrently for groups of approximately 30 students each. Within each workshop students will be broken down into small teams of 5 or 6 for group exercises.
Programmes are typically a blend of workshops covering both Core Skills and Business Skills. Business Enterprise has workshops covering these disciplines:
Core Skills Teamwork Problem solving Presentation & Communication Planning Decision making
Business Skills Business structures Getting on in business Basics of sales & marketing Customer service Commerce Management Production
Teachers can select from the list of workshops to build a programme which is of greatest relevance and value to an individual school or student group. Programmes for Year 10 students are typically weighted more towards Core Skills whilst Year 12 students typically benefit from greater Business Skills content. Business Enterprise works with individual schools to find the right programme content for each school.
Our programmes promote a friendly and fun competitive environment in which teams are encouraged to compete for the final prize - a trophy of nominal value!
